BENJAMIN LAVON, P.E. President
Mr. Lavon has been the President
of the firm since 2005; Previously, he was a
Vice-President of the firm from 1991 to 2005.
Mr. Lavon has 29 years of diversified
engineering experience which includes structural
design of commercial, institutional, residential
and industrial projects, high-rise apartment and
office buildings, nursing homes, US postal
facilities, movie theaters, department stores,
shopping centers, parking garages, manufacturing
plants, warehouses, and special structures;
failure investigation and reports; seismic
evaluations of various structures.
Mr. Lavon supervises the firm’s
installation of instrumentation and monitoring
devices for structures in distress. These
monitoring services include movement and
vibration measurements of structures and
foundations, and are provided by our staff when
required. Mr. Lavon has been providing
forensic engineering services and investigation
of structures in distress, structural failures
and construction non-performance investigations,
reports and expert testimony services. Mr.
Lavon has been providing extensive expertise
in New York City Local Law 11/98 - Facades.
Mr. Lavon is a professional engineer
licensed in several states including New York,
New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and
Florida. He is a member of various professional
organizations, ASCE, ACI, member of ACI
Committee 546 on concrete repairs, Committee 355
on anchorage to concrete and is past chairman of
Committee 533 on Precast Panels. Mr. Lavon
is a member of NYC Building code existing
Structures Committee. Mr. Lavon has authored
several professional publications and lectured
in several engineering conferences.
Mr. Lavon holds a B.S. in Civil
Engineering from the Technion and an M.S. in
Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute
of New York. |
