SHORING/RESHORING OPERATIONS FOR MULTISTORY BUILDINGS Pericles C. Stivaros The recently published document by ACI Committee 347, “Guide for Shoring/Reshoring of Concrete Multistory Buildings (ACI 347.2R-05),” contains methods to help construction professionals and engineers develop safe, economical construction schedules for concrete structures requiring shores and reshores. This article outlines the new guide and highlights many of the important concepts. Example calculations for shoring/reshoring of a multistory two-way slab building are also provided. |
