The one-way joist reinforced concrete parking structure, exhibited extensive deterioration as a result of corrosion of the reinforcing steel. Additionally, the end columns of this very long structure suffered extensive damage due to the thermal movements of the plaza level. FKC investigated the structural damage and designed repair details and specifications. New end columns were designed with sliding slab supports in order to accommodate for the slab thermal movements.
